Field diary of Corporal Marion Abbott, Company F, First Minnesota Infantry, documenting the company's movements in the Civil War (June 22-August 23, 1861), including its march from Fort Snelling to Washington D.C. and its participation in the First Battle of Bull Run. The genealogical materials (six letters and one family history, 1874, 1893, 1924, 1975) contain information on the Abbott family and on the families of Abbott's wives, Nancy Adeline Nickels (1846-1873) and Charlotte M. Forder (1855-1938).
